South African actor Sandy Mokwena, best known for his role as Bra Eddie Khumalo on the e.tv soapie Scandal, passed away on Wednesday night.
etv’s flagship morning show, Sunrise confirmed the news on Twitter:
BREAKING NEWS: South African actor Sandy Mokwena best known for his role as Bra Eddie Khumalo in the @etv soapie @etvScandal has died.#RIPBraEddie#etvSunrise
No further information is available at the moment about the cause of his death.
According to TVSA, Mokwena starred in several feature films including Taxi to Soweto (1992), The Principal (1996), Dead End (1999) and Scarback (2000).
He also starred on a few local TV shows including Okavango, Generations, and Soul City.
