South Africa Durban deep protest turns violent – PICTURES

[full]Yet another service delivery protest has resulted in the loss of a life.

A protest against an eviction order and the lack of RDPs in the Durban deep area in Roodepoort ended in the death of one of the protesters, Tshepo Babuseng who was allegedly shot and killed by an officer. Residents reportedly told the media that Babuseng had been singing and dancing with other protesters when the warrant officer shot him. The Police however claim that protesters were intimidation the officer when he decided to fire warning shots, one of which killed Babuseng.[/full]
