Starbucks Celebrates The Month Of Human Connection In March

The power of human connection is celebrated every day at Starbucks stores across the globe. In South African stores, the importance of human rights will add to the power of this celebration throughout March.

“We’ve given over the whole of March to celebrate human connections and will welcome our guests with daily themed messages designed to inspire and celebrate the human spirit,” says Adrian Maizey, CEO of Rand Capital Coffee, the licensee of Starbucks in South Africa. “As the largest supporter of ethically sourced coffees from local and international farmers, we also understand the importance of living our humanitarian values every day of the year. This is why we’re giving our visitors the chance to win by expressing their solidarity with fellow humans.”

The competition is simple. Join Starbucks for a cup of your favourite coffee, made with high-quality beans sourced, brewed, and served up by the humans at Starbucks. Send a pic from in-store in March using the hashtag #starbuckshumanbeans, and stand a chance to win a limited-edition Starbucks 50th Anniversary double-wall travel tumbler!

There are also special offers for special humans – teachers and pensioners – plus a chance to donate a chocolate egg to local orphans.

Each of the 21 Starbucks stores has selected a local children’s home in their community to receive a donation of chocolate eggs, gifted by customers who choose to purchase this gift with their order. “In this way, we can share the human joy of giving and receiving throughout Joburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban when our store managers deliver the eggs,” says Maizey.
