Starbucks, Muizenberg is excited to reveal their “Catch Your Wave” campaign, a competition designed to give back to the beachgoers of Muizenberg.
The beaches of Muizenberg are the perfect example of the community coming together – be it local Go-Getters supporting sports, cleaning up the beach, or simply taking pride in their community. These community practices align with Starbucks’ values, and they inspired the company to launch the “Catch Your Wave” competition in partnership with Nexgen Surf.
Nexgen surf is a local surf school committed to making the ocean an inclusive place for everyone and promoting surfing as an activity to be enjoyed by all. Established by Yani Trout in August 2020, Nexgen surf is the first registered non-white-owned surf school in South Africa on a mission to empower and equip people with surfing skills and a lifelong passion for the sport.
In supporting the surf school, Starbucks is giving away a one-of-a-kind surfboard to help create the opportunity for anybody who wants to learn to surf or intermediate-level surfers who cannot buy a surfboard.
Starbucks Muizenberg is proud to serve its community and help create a better future for its local guests. This includes creating an environment where everybody feels welcome in their store and supporting a beautiful beach where everyone has an equal opportunity to surf.
To take advantage of this opportunity, simply visit Starbucks Muizenberg, spend a minimum of R200 and drop your receipt in the box provided. We will announce the winner on the 30th of March and award a unique Starbucks-designed surfboard to launch a new passion.
