Tamborder together with Paradise Sound System unite to Bridge the Musical

Gap through “Oceans Planet” EP
With the aim of bridging the gap between Africa and the rest of the world, Tamborder
has collaborated with Paradise Sound System on the new release of “Oceans
Planet” EP. This EP seeks to connect listeners from all corners of the globe with the
depth and variety of African Music. Tamborder, an artist who draws from both Italian
and African musical influences, has found spaces where he can explore and
manifest his creativity through music.
The inspiration for the release originated from a trip to Nairobi, Kenya, where
Tamborder experienced the local music scene firsthand, notably Ewaso Records and
Gondwana KE events. The “Oceans Planet” EP serves as a testament to
Tamborder’s artistic vision and the compelling journey he has embarked on. The EP
features three tracks, each with its own distinct flavour. It aims to leave a lasting
impression on its listeners.
The EP’s opening track, “Duma”, is emotional and romantic—a sunset-like track. It’s
a song that aims to captivate listeners’ hearts and transport them on a journey of
pure emotions. The EP transitions with “Twiga”, adopting a club-orientated vibe that
aims to bring the audience to the dancefloor with its rhythmic beats. Finally, the title
track, ”Oceans Planet”, is a dreamy and enchanting piece that demonstrates
Tamborder’s versatility as an artist. For inspiration, Tamborder drew on the works of
artists like Da Capo and Zakes Bantwini.
With the release of the “Oceans Planet” EP, Tamborder and Paradise Sound System
aim to share the authentic and diverse musical heritage of Africa with a global
audience. This collaboration seeks to bridge continents, fostering cultural exchange
and celebration.
Speaking on the effects “Oceans Planet” has on its listeners, Tamborder had this to
say:
“Through this EP, I hope to share the depth and richness of African music with the
world, fostering unity and appreciation for diverse musical traditions. I am excited to
present ‘Oceans Planet’ and invite everyone to join me on this unique musical
adventure.”- Duma – Tamborder
