Technodyn International Helps Clients Push ESG Agenda with New IFS Cloud Release

IFS helps customers drive towards ESG goals with IFS Cloud October 2022 release

Johannesburg, South Africa, 31 October 2022: Technodyn International, the exclusive strategic partner for global cloud enterprise software company IFS in Sub-Saharan Africa, is pleased to announce that clients will be able to better meet their environmental, social and governance (ESG) with the latest enhancements to IFS Cloud.

According to the World Meteorological Organisation, atmospheric levels of all three greenhouse gases have reached record highs, with its scientists remarking that the world is “heading in the wrong direction”. Announced in October 2022 and immediately available to Technodyn Partners, the latest enhancements to the IFS Cloud solution form part of a bi-annual release cycle and support several new capabilities. With IFS Cloud, it is now easier for a client to collect, manage and record data that directly pertains to an organisation’s environmental performance.

“The time to act against climate change is now. We can no longer wait for governments to pave the way; we as an industry need to embrace this challenge and look at every little area where we can make a difference,” says Heman Kassan, Director at Technodyn International. “The best way to track ESG performance is through technology, and IFS offers an effective means to understand and track ESG. This data can then be used to alter or right the course a business takes to meet its sustainability targets.”

Focussed on making better use of data by creating effective ways to collect, understand and interpret data, IFS Cloud offers the insights a company needs to constantly track and be aware of its impact on the environment.

New functionality within IFS Cloud’s sustainability hub includes tracking indirect greenhouse gas emissions and assessing a company’s overall carbon footprint per the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. The sustainability hub also lets a company or team connect and extract data from various systems and sources to assess and report performance.

An additional feature of its planning and scheduling optimisation solution is that it allows an organisation to record vehicle usage and environmental costs in the planning and scheduling optimisation (PSO) process. This data is invaluable in determining the impact different vehicles have on the environment and is especially useful when the world is facing a global energy crisis, and the costs of oil and fuel continue to rise.

Lastly, as part of its service management module, a client using IFS Cloud can now reduce their spare part inventory, empowering mobile service technicians to better collate the unused inventory and uninstalled components, in turn reducing waste.

“To echo the sentiment of IFS, Technodyn wants our customers to stay focussed on ESG goals and having as little impact on the planet as possible. We can only do this if we know what impact we are having. With these new capabilities, IFS is a key to helping organisations tap into their data to tell their whole ESG story,” added Kassan.
