TechSoft Highlights Hyperconverged Analytics Approach in Enhanced TIBCO Predict Portfolio
Automated Analytics Tools to Drive Accelerated Time-to-Insights Available on One Platform
Johannesburg, South Africa – 29 June 2021 – TechSoft International, the exclusive African territory partner for TIBCO Software, the global leader for integration and analytics, today announced that TIBCO has made several enhancements to TIBCO Spotfire®, TIBCO® Streaming, and TIBCO® Data Science, features the company is making available on a single platform.
With the addition of new innovations and capabilities to the TIBCO Predict portfolio of products, TechSoft enables customers in Africa to get faster, more accurate insights into their data by leveraging analytics while paving the way to the adoption of a hyperconverged analytics framework.
“Hyperconverged analytics is still a fairly new concept to local customers. In essence, it brings together the power of analytics tools into a centralised environment making it reusable for all stakeholders, data scientists, business analysts, and line-of-business leaders,” says Tony Nkuna Senior Consultant and Integration Specialist, TechSoft International. “It is the first step in the democratisation of analytics. With these new enhancements to the TIBCO portfolio, we are not just making analytics easier for the experts by putting it in the hands of more people in the organisation so that businesses can get the insights they need to be competitive faster.”
Announced at the recent TIBCO Analytics Forum 2021, the enhancements to TIBCO Spotfire, TIBCO Streaming, and TIBCO Data Science build on a Hyperconverged Analytics experience and reduces the amount of time it takes to take business events to analytics and then transform these into actionable insights. A key feature includes the extension of TIBCO Spotfire® Mods, a powerful visualisation tool that supports no-code data science functionality, advanced streaming analytics, and a modern, platform-agnostic approach to ModelOps.
Further, TIBCO has combined the power of analytics with TIBCO’s data management and data virtualization offerings into this framework, which allows a user to scale analytics on the go and report on any data within the organisation.
“This improved functionality focuses extensively on the reuse of analytics components, in a ModelOps environment as well as the automation of analytics. This is a big pain point for customers, and we are delighted that it is now being addressed. TIBCO has made it clear that the automation of tasks and the convergence of analytics, data science, and DevOps is central to its approach, which can be clearly seen in its focus on Hyperconverged Analytics. It is a real game-changer,” adds Nkuna.
Concrete changes in Spotfire 11 include embedded data science workflows allowing non-developers to add Python and R data functions to Spotfire analyses, and Spotfire Mods’ lightweight JavaScript framework allows for low-code development. TIBCO has also added new community-sourced visualisations and a growing library of Python and R data functions to Spotfire 11, encompassing applications for engineering, machine learning, and geoanalytics.
TIBCO also announced that updates include an expanded at-scale compute for SQL and ML functionality with TIBCO Data Science. Notably, when a user combines this functionality with the soon to be available TIBCO ModelOps, they can dramatically simplify model deployment and monitoring.

“The future of analytics lies outside of a patchwork of tools and random data sources. To really turn data into insights, we need to empower more than just the data scientists in a business and put analytics directly in the hands of all stakeholders. When a Hyperconverged Analytics model is leveraged, teams can get to grips with the volume of data they have on hand. And leverage statistical, machine learning, and rules-based models to start to enable analytics at scale and take advantage of algorithmic decisions and AI-guided customer interactions,” concludes Nkuna.
These new innovations and capabilities were announced at the 2021 TIBCO Analytics Forum, and all TIBCO solutions are exclusively available through TechSoft International. To watch on-demand, you can explore the event online.
