Thando Thabethe seems not here for criticism as the actress tells critics on social media to stop playing student because Generation is no teacher.
“He’s not a teacher…y r u playing student? It’s a SOAPIE”
Generations:The Legacy has come under fire from viewers over the past few weeks for its recent storyline.
The soapie sparked widespread debate among some viewers, who feel that the soapie’s storyline is not sending an “appropriate” message to young people watching it.
The criticism from viewers seemed to have started when Karabo Moroka (Connie Ferguson) revealed that she planned to take a second husband.
This was followed by Tshidi (Letoya Makhene) and her husband, Gadaffi (Vuyo Dabula) practising witchcraft with their snake, Mamlambo to protect her family. To add fuel to the fire, Mamlambo is now sleeping in Tshidi’s bed, which further shocked people.
This led some fans to believe that Letoya, who is also a sangoma in real life, practises witchcraft. Following the criticism Letoya got she came out fiercely to distance herself from the claims.
Then there’s the introduction of Wandile Radebe (Chi Mhende), who is a female, but is playing a man.
On Wednesday night angry viewers returned to social media to share their opinions on what’s going on in the soapie.
