The Annual W-Suite Summit is set to take place this Women’s Month

Johannesburg – The annual W-Suite Summit is set to take place this Women’s month at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange in Sandton. The W-Suite platform was founded as a means for advocacy, dialogue, networking and action aimed at propelling women into positions and roles that, historically, have only been accessible to men. The W-Suite platform is dedicated to highlighting women’s voices and perspectives to create a new culture where women are deservingly positioned in leadership roles in all respective industries.

In celebration of Women’s Month, the W-Suite Summit, in partnership with Imperial Logistics, the JSE and Brand South Africa will be hosting a series of important discussions around the theme of “The Era of the Empowered Women”. The era of empowered women is here and now, and these are the very women who assume leadership positions. These are the women whose attitudes, experiences and principles shape the future policies and practices of their organisations. It is the high achieving woman who will be defining the successful woman’s responsibility of connecting and mentoring others. Historically, women as a group, are more powerful than they have ever been. The shift towards female empowerment is already in motion and females have become increasingly valued in the workplace and in leadership positions.

The topics that the W-Suite Summit will be addressing this year under the theme of the “The Era of the Empowered Women” will be the topic of “Reviving your career – Actionable Steps to Achieve a Professional Renaissance”, “The Power of No – The Importance of Setting Boundaries and Realistic Goals and Defining your impact as a leader” and “Transforming Men into Allies in the Workplace”. We are currently in the era of empowered women, and these are the very women who assume leadership positions. These are the women whose attitudes, experiences and principles shape the future policies and practices of their organisations.
