Excitement is building for the Durban Fashion Fair (DFF) 2016 where 40 designers – including five from Africa – will take to the ramp in 16 shows at the Durban Exhibition Centre from Wednesday, August 31st to Saturday, September 3rd.
To ensure that Durban design is top notch and discover those hidden talents that can put Durban on the fashion map, the eThekwini Municipality has invested substantial sums in internships, industry related training programmes, networking sessions as well as and various lifestyle and modelling programmes and boot camps over the years.
Now, designers are able to reach for their dreams and even participate in high profile fashion shows at the likes of the Vodacom Durban July.
On the ground, Durban’s fashion entrepreneurs can help grow the city’s economy and create jobs through forming small businesses.
Five years into this Durban fashion experience, the DFF is ramping things up to another level with the theme “Beyond Threads”… and one of the DFF 2016 treats will be the 2nd Durban Fashion Fair Awards on Saturday, September 3rd at the Inkosi Chief Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre. These awards will honour and recognise the top designers and models taking part in the DFF 2016.
So, don’t miss out on the glitz and the glamour. Tickets will be on sale at Computicket from Monday, August 1st. Prices range from R100 per person per show with students at R50 per student per show.
Prices for the Awards show will cost R200 per person and students at R100 per person. For more information go to www.durbanfashionfair.com
