The KwaZulu Natal Film Commission Participates at the MIP Africa Fame Week
23 August 2022:The KwaZulu Natal Film Commission is this week participating at the MIP Africa Fame Week taking place until the 26th of August in Cape Town. MIP Africa Fame Week is the continent’s leading event for business development for the creative industries.
To ensure full participation at MIP Africa, the KZN Film Commission sent out a call to KZN filmmakers to apply for markets and festival attendance. Out of the myriad of applications received, two applications were approved as per the funding policy. The filmmakers are Bianca Isaac who will be seeking distribution partners for her film; The Honeymoon, and Claire T Louis who will also be seeking distribution for her animation projects.
On the 25th of August at 10:30 the KZN Film Commission representatives will host a session where they will present the KwaZulu Natal locations to all film industry professionals in attendance. The session will take place at the Creative Conversation Studio.
MIP Africa is a Content Market that puts industry professionals face-to-face with the people, content, and ideas to give their business a new doorway to a huge opportunity.
