THE SOIL, FIRST GUESTS ON MZANSI MAGIC’S HIT SHOW, THE FESTIVE GET-TOGETHER
In their “Camagu Episode”, as the group calls it, Ntsika, Buhlebendalo and Luphindo share pivotal moments of their 13-year journey in a rare sit-down dinner chat with Unathi Nkayi
SAMA Award-winning group, The Soil, are the celebrity guests on episode one of South Africa’s favourite festive season special, The Festive Get-Together in The Life Artois, which premiers this Thursday, November 17th, at 21h30 on Mzansi Magic (DSTV channel 161).

Hosted by Unathi Nkayi and presented by Stella Artois, each episode of The Festive Get-Together puts the spotlight on celebrity pairs who recount their journeys to success over a special meal while sharing the challenges of getting together with those who matter most.
With their music rooted in traditional sounds, The Soil created a special niche in the South African music world following the release of their platinum-selling debut album in 2003. On the first episode of Festive Get-together, the group – consisting of lead singer Ntsika Ngxanga, beatboxer Luphindo and vocalist Buhlebendalo Mda – reflect on their early days of founding The Soil in high school along with former member, Samthing Soweto; their individual projects over the years and then coming together last year for their upcoming album.

Each episode, Unathi is also joined by a celebrity chef to create dishes for guests that invoke memories of love for their family & friends. In this episode, internationally acclaimed and award-winning chef, Bertus Basson, creates a special South African Festive menu for The Soil of their favourite dishes.
Catch The Festive Get-Together in The Life Artois from the 17th of November on Mzansi Magic, DStv channel 161, every Thursday @ 21h30. The show will also repeat every Sunday @ 14h00.
