Time to chase new dreams: Claire Mawisa leaves Kaya FM

Mawisa the producer of Kaya FM’s drivetime show, Kaya Central is leaving Kaya FM after three years.

Former television presenter, model and radio personality Claire Mawisa left SABC in 2001, relocated to London and worked for a giant retail outlet. She came back and kicked off her radio career on Metro FM.

According to Sunday Sun, Kaya FM’s public relations manager, Carmen van Wyk, said: “Claire Mawisa served Kaya FM well in her three-and-a-half years . . . Claire is an asset to the radio industry in Mzansi and Kaya FM would like to wish her well . . .”

Claire is quoted, saying she feels it’s time for her to pursue “other interests outside of the radio space”.
