Tommy Fury announces highly anticipated fight with YouTuber Jake Paul
Love Island star, Tommy Fury, is set to step into the ring with YouTuber turned MMA fighter, Jake Paul in grudge match after 2 years.
The 23 year old became a professional boxer in 2018, shortly before he entered the Love Island Villa where he met Molly-Mae. In Dec 2018 Tommy won his first professional match and by the time he stole the nations heart in June 2019 he had already won 2 fights. His relationship with influencer Molly-Mae has gone from strength to strength with the couple excitedly awaiting the arrival of their first child together.
The couple announced the pregnancy with a beautiful social media video on 25th September 2022 followed by a gender reveal on 5th October 2022 to share that they were expecting a baby girl. Speculation has been rife around the couple due date after Molly-Mae hinted that she only had one month left in December.
Tommy’s fight against Jake Paul is set to take place on Sunday 26th February in Saudi Arabia. This long awaited fight comes after Tommy called Jake out and offered to fight him for free in a bid to settle the ongoing online battle of words between the two.
“Jake Paul’s boxing career ends on February 26th and I can finally move on with mine. Every time I go out right now, everybody asks me about the Jake Paul fight. After this fight is done, everybody will be asking me how it felt to knock Jake Paul out. The world is about to see what happens when a proper boxer faces a YouTuber.
“The way I see this fight, it’s as though I’m cruising down route 66 on my way to fighting for titles and belts and I need to stop off for a bit of fuel, get the job done and then we’re back on the road. It won’t be a long fight. I have been training hard and have the best team around me, Jake Paul makes a lot of noise outside the ring but the only sound we are going to hear in the ring is him hitting the canvas.”
Tommy’s manager, CEO of Alpha Talent Group, Jake Lee said “This has been two years in the making and I’m so glad that we’ve finally got here. Tommy has been working incredibly hard in training and I’m excited to see all that hard work pay off. I’m looking forward to seeing the fight come to fruition, we have every faith that Tommy is going to make it 9-0 and add to his KO tally in emphatic style!”
