Turkish Airlines Resumes Flights to Benghazi, Libya’s Second-Largest City
Turkish Airlines has resumed flights to Benghazi, Libya, strengthening its extensive African network and further connecting the continent to the rest of the world. Starting 14 January 2025, the airline will operate three weekly flights between Istanbul and
Benghazi, using B737-78D aircraft. This move brings Turkish Airlines’ African destinations to 64, reaffirming its position as a global leader in bridging continents.
“As Turkish Airlines, we are continuing our mission of connecting continents, this time in Benghazi, Libya’s second-largest city. We are delighted to resume flights to Benghazi, where we share historical ties.”
says Bilal Ekşi, Turkish Airlines CEO. “We foresee that the strong investments in the region will further boost the continent’s tourism and trade potential. In line with evolving market conditions and increasing demand, we will continue to diversify
the gateways that connect Africa to the rest of the world.”
To mark the occasion, passengers booking tickets by 15 February 2025 can take advantage of promotional fares starting from USD 349 for Istanbul to Benghazi and USD 249 for Benghazi to Istanbul. These fares are valid for travel until 20 March 2025, subject to
availability and based on bookings made through the airline’s official website.
Flights to Benghazi will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, providing a convenient schedule for travellers seeking to explore Libya or connect to destinations beyond.
