Describe yourself in three words?
Vivacious, self driven, passionate.
When did you know you wanted to be an actress?
The moment I was given my first solo in a nativity play when I was 3 years old, I knew I wanted to be on stage and reach people through performance.
Who is your favorite local and international actress?
Locally I had the opportunity of growing up and watching my uncle, Tony award veteran, Winston Ntshona. He continues to inspire me and plays a huge role in the decision I made of changing careers to this. Internationally I am obsessed and I admire the vulnerability and excellence that is Viola Davis.
Tell us about what you’re working on now.?
The new prime time hit show, Broken Vows, a gripping eTV Telenovela.
What are your weaknesses?
I never focus on ever highlighting this.
What are your strengths?
The ability to overcome has truly become a strength like no other. My faith is what I continue molding and that truly keeps me at bay.
What character was the toughest for you to change into?
I am still waiting for this moment.
Do you think you could have done a past performance better? What was the performance? Why could you have done it better?
Always! As an actor you are your worst critic and never truly feel you have it your all. I’ve had many of these moments and Im making room for more. But the trust with your director is important as if they feel like they are content with the scene, then one needs to take that step back and keep it moving.
What sort of acting roles will you be seeking in the future?
Roles that are extremely different to who I am and from the last role I have played. I was lucky last year to play three very different roles in different accents and age groups which is what I seek. I am always alert of avoiding being type cast, so it’s crucial for me to always chose roles that show different sides and shades of me.
