Watch the students and staff at Learn to Earn step up to take on the Dance of Brave challenge

The bright-eyed and eager team of Learn to Earn are whipping out their dancing shoes to share their take on the Dance of Brave challenge. Learn to Earn is a skills development and job creation group that aims to help develop people, particularly unemployed people, and uplift their lives socially, economically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Based in Khayelitsha and Hermanus, their skills development and training centres strive to eradicate unemployment and other legacies of injustice in SA by uplifting the local community and individuals who need their assistance to unlock their full potential. Since 1989 their team has have trained more than 10 000 unemployed people with market-related skills.

As for what bravery means to their students, this is what they had to share…

The word ‘brave’ to me means courage, it means being strong, it means getting out of your comfort zone, facing your fears, and going for what you believe in.

– Anele Gwente, Student

Showing courage through fear – because fear will always be there. So, it’s just defying the odds of fear – just going for what you want.

– Thembalethu Mafuna, Student
