Trevor visits President Obama at the White House to discuss Russia’s impact on the 2016 election, the incoming Trump administration, the future of Obamacare and modern racism.
Trevor Noah interviewed President Barack Obama in the White House and – in this six minute clip – the pair speak about different ways to take part in a race dialogue as a leader, who is also a person of colour.
Trevor starts off by saying that it’s sometimes difficult to talk about race saying, “If you are a white person speaking about race then you are just person who is interested in race if you are a person of colour speaking about race then it’s ‘oh the black thing started again’.”
The comedian asks the president how he addressed the issue during his term.
