Life is full of all exciting endeavors for which we usually associate our self-worth through our external associations. Every person alive has been tasked with a special assignment. Some are assigned to be scholars , some for business , some artists , some caregivers etc.
There is no assignment smaller than the other nor success accumulation less or bigger than another but the power of getting it right is understanding the path that takes one to the climax of his/her assignment.
It is important that each individual gets a full understanding of his/her assignment so as to know how to build his/her hierarchy of prioritization. Prioritization will channel your focus and package activities properly . Some people get to start engaging with their assignments very late in age due to failure of prioritization. Prioritization is one of the primary self-management tools. Without prioritizing your day to day commitments , a very busy but non-productive life is very possible.
Below are elements to consider when building your prioritization hierarchy.
These elements will help you know what your primary factors of establishment are, so that you may prioritize them first without dismissing other opportunities.
What is my assignment?
Understanding yourself and your assignment will create an easy to do planning chart . I attended a church service where one of the speakers shared his personal plan and illustrated the power of planning ahead. He mentioned how he has his plan for up to year 2035 established. This flabbergasted me because we have built a society that believes in seeing things when they happen and instilled fear of planning ahead. God has allowed us a powerful platform of planning through Wisdom and Knowledge that has been made available to us.
How is my assignment?
The how part is understanding the model to follow in order for the plan to materialise. People might have similar tasks but different models. It is important that while searching as you walk your journey , never take a model search for granted. Since I joined the corporate world, I learnt a very profound lesson about destiny modelling. I encountered people of different academic backgrounds , not even related to the current occupation leading from their God given life’s modelling method. I have seen electrical engineering qualified working in Information Technology Industries ,not only working but leading the industry and leading IT graduates. Ask yourself , what creates such incidences ? This is due understanding the model and aligning with the assignment .
– Understand one thing , personal assignment is not only based on soft matters of life but it can extend to hard and scientific endeavours. This goes back to understanding how your assignment is modelled so that you may follow the right path.
Who is in my assignment?
– This part will help you know where to go, though the places might not be easily accessible , I usually say , “make noise in the right place”, so that you may become visible to people who carry resources that will help establish your assignment. These may be people who not only understand your assignment but help make you better . The “Who” people might be a hand in mentoring you , a hand in training you or the hand to walk you to an area where you will get exposed to required elements of your assignments.
Where is my assignment?
– The where will usually build as you encounter your what, how and who . You do not have to stress about where because, Proverbs 16:19 In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps.
– Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans (assignment).
– Do plan your ideal space but allowing God to finalise.
In conclusion , we are such powerful beings who sometimes fail to understand the power of self-worth through self-management and the power of believing in our abilities and capacity graced by God. We are to put others ahead of us but that does not mean we should compromise our assignments. Our assignment is one critical thing we are not allowed to compromise as it carries our full definition.
