The talk show host says she is worried about the people in Chris Brown’s circle.
Wendy Williams has been known to get emotional every now and then on her daytime talk show.
And she did just that when talking about Chris Brown’s alleged drug problems during her “Hot Topics” segment Monday.
Billboard recently published a comprehensive look at Brown’s downwards spiral with drugs. In the profile, the magazine documents instances when Brown has become violent with everyone from his security to his manager. Most recently, his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran, and her best friend J. Ryan La Cour, filed temporary restraining orders against Brown because they feared for their safety.
Wendy became emotionally when pointing out that Brown likely did not have anyone on his team really looking out for him. She has openly spoken about her own history with drugs.
“This is serious,” Williams said to her audience. “I think there are a lot of people in his camp enjoying the spiralization and his mother who he watched get beat up by his step-dad while growing up, apparently he hasn’t gained her strength or respect for him.”
“I guess he has nobody in his life at this point that he’s scared of,” Williams continued. “There has to be somebody that you’re scared of and it has nothing to do with money. It should be like ‘oh, I don’t want to shame the family name.’ or ‘I gotta pull it together just for this’.”
Brown responded in The Shade Room’s Instagram post about Wendy’s comments:
