Westcon-Comstor Appoints Kwami Catering Official Supplier

Supplier development programme see Kwami take delivery of Westcon-Comstor sponsored van

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa— March 06, 2022—Westcon-Comstor, the fast-growing South African value-added distributor, announced that as part of its supplier development programme, the company has appointed Midrand-based Kwami Catering as an official catering supplier.

With a strong focus on community and local supplier development and upliftment, Westcon-Comstor’s supplier development programme identifies local supplies it can work with while identifying business areas where it can support these suppliers.

“My relationship with Westcon-Comstor started with a simple email query expressing interest in Kwami Catering becoming a new supplier. After calls and a meeting, we immediately hit it off, and I realised the incredible opportunity this could be for my business,” says Bathabile Sambo, founder and owner of Kwami Catering.

“The experience has been incredibly positive and opened new avenues for growth and success, and I look forward to building a long-lasting and fruitful relationship with Westcon-Comstor. It’s true that sometimes all it takes is one or two people to believe in you and help you realise your dreams. These individuals can provide the support, guidance, and resources necessary to make your aspirations a reality – that for me is Westcon-Comstor,” adds Sambo.

Working with Bathabile, the Westcon-Comstor team quickly identified that she needed a catering van to help her expand her business. It is with this that the distributor set the wheels into motion to provide a fully sponsored and branded van that could keep Kwami Catering on the road and visible to a wider network of potential partners.

“We are absolutely honoured to be working with Bathabile. Her energy, passion, and attention to detail are incredible, and we can’t wait to see where the future takes her. But for now, some of that journey will be in a set of wheels sponsored by Westcon-Comstor,” says Shadean Vermeulen from Westcon-Comstor Sub-Saharan Africa.

“From that initial email inquiry to the warm welcome and continued support, Westcon has believed in me and my vision. The support has given me the confidence to push myself and my business to new heights. I am eternally grateful,” ends Sambo.
