Nedbank and the Nedbank Running Club are creating opportunities for the development of future athletes.
The final Nedbank Runified challenge is here and this time round, runners can donate to The Sports Trust to support the Trust’s development programmes to empower future local athletes to reach their full potential. Through The Sports Trust, Nedbank is giving runners the perfect reason to get involved.
On completion of the 10 km challenge, which is the longest challenge in the series, runners can donate to The Sports Trust through Quicket to redeem their reward (a Nedbank Runified badge and a chance to win awesome prizes).
The Sports Trust is celebrating over 25 years of advancing, developing, and including able and disabled athletes across South Africa. Through its development programmes, the Trust offers sporting equipment, running kits and infrastructure, and supports youth development programmes, including empowering young women in sport, ensuring a sense of belonging and being able to use sport to expand their career options.
‘The Sports Trust is honoured to be part of the Nedbank Runified Series and we will ensure that the money we raise will benefit runners and support our cause of enhancing education through sport,’ says Anita Mathews, Executive Director of The Sports Trust.
‘As a long-standing partner of The Sports Trust through the Nedbank Sport Affinity programme, Nedbank has identified the benefits of supporting an organisation like The Sports Trust. It is an opportunity to support the development of future athletes through a series created to give runners an opportunity to unify through running, even if it is remotely. Your 10 km run could change a life. Participating in the Nedbank Runified challenge will help local athletes get kits so that they can compete too,’ says Tobie Badenhorst, Head of Group Sponsorships and Cause Marketing at Nedbank.
‘Nedbank Running Club is more than just a club – it’s a community of like-minded individuals. We believe in the growth and development of runners on all levels and working with the Sports Trust enables us to do exactly that. It is an opportunity for everyone involved in the Runified series to change a life,’ adds Nedbank Running Club General Manager, Nick Bester.
Nedbank has partnered with The Sports Trust to help athletes get the resources they need to tap into their potential. Lace up your shoes and help local runners develop their talents by completing the final Runified challenge. Or visit The Sports Trust donation page to give to a worthy cause.
