ZAKES BANTWINI READIES HIS ULTIMATE ODE TO MOTHERHOOD – ‘MAMA THULA’, MUSIC VIDEO DIRECTED BY KUDA JEMBA
Zakes Bantwini’s multi-decade streak in South African music will continue in fine form on the 14th of March as the hitmaker releases the visuals for his well-loved single Mama Thula, in collaboration with Skye Wanda, Thakzin and featuring Suffocate SA. The video premieres on Channel O and will be available for fans to stream on digital platforms everywhere this week.
Zakes Bantwini, whose real name is Zakhele Madida, recently added the latest chapter to his illustrious catalogue with his 2023 album, The Star Is Reborn. It didn’t take long for Mama Thula to emerge as one of the standout hits from the critically album and today fans got to lay eyes on the visuals for the first time.
The Mama Thula music video will make its debut on national television when it premieres on Channel O where it will be available exclusively for several days. Viewers will also be able to stream on YouTube from the 14th of March 2024.
Young, Industry-renowned director, Kuda Jemba takes the helm in telling the story for Mama Thula which sees Zakes take a seat (literally and figuratively) from being the protagonist to pay homage to his mother in cinematic style.
